If your setting up an LLC, the name of the company would have to contain LLC. Then I would check with your secretary of state to confirm the name avaliability. You should also apply for an Employer Identification Letter via the irs website and make sure you pay the state filling fee.
You go and registar your company name. You apply for a tax Identification number. And then they will ask the name of your co.
and write in DBA the name of co.You have to have a tax # to legally call yourself a business. I think they look to see if it’s in use.
